About the company:
This property includes a hotel and upscale restaurant and bar. Ranked #1 on Trip Advisor for 2 years running, this property is looking to take this restaurant to the next level. They have received praise from news outlets as well as celebrity chefs. Scratch kitchen concept serving Contemporary American Cuisine, they specialize in only fresh and quality ingredients. For example, they spec Black Grouper and top 3% of Angus beef and their burger is made with short rib and black angus. They have a passion for food and are looking for employees that share the same passion and are excited about the hospitality industry.

This restaurant is being redesigned and is headed toward a James Beard award, celebrity chef events and wine tastings.

About the position:
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for running day-to-day operations of a $2+ million per year upscale dining establishment, reporting to the Owner/GM. Lunch, Dinner and Bar. Currently there is a Banquet Manager, Morning Service Manager that covers all breakfast shifts and Executive Chef.

Candidate Criteria:
Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of 2+ years of current experience  as assistant manager, FOH manager or restaurant manager in a high volume, upscale dining concept where food is made from scratch.

Other desired criteria:

·       Trainer Mindset

·       Ability to train staff on guest experience including in-service of ingredient knowledge, menu and recommendations

Additional Note: Client is looking for someone that has experience with fresh quality ingredients, made from Scratch, farm to table, or regional/seasonal menu.

Additional Notes: When sourcing candidates;  strong assistant manager that has a love of food and knowledge of wine.
Independent Restaurants or upscale dining concepts.
Other Notes: They need to be able to train the servers on how to share the ingredients with guests and help the guests make a good decision on the food and wine pairing. The owner will do most of the P&L so this manager needs to run day to day operations, schedule and training. There is a strong opportunity for this position to advance to GM.

Update from Client: Must have experience with wine to be able to put together wine dinners. Needs to be able to manage BOH and FOH. Be able to communicate with client how they would handle complaint with customer.
